THE 150 HP CASE IS THE LARGEST STEAM TRACTION ENGINE EVER PRODUCED. Built originally in 1905, zero of them ever lived on – until recreated from the ground up in 2018 by Kory Anderson.
The journey of the multi-year build was followed by more than 10,000 followers on Facebook and eventually led to more than 5 million views on YouTube with his legendary “engine pull” in September 2019 at the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion (WMSTR)in Rollag, Minnesota.
"Road Locomotives" as Case called them, is the largest steam traction engine ever made; Originally built right in Racine, Wisconsin. The only one known in existence, the CASE 150 was built by Kory Anderson from the ground up using the original blueprints of the CASE 150 directly from the Case archives. The boiler was copied from serial number 14666, which was the first one manufactured, and is the only original part known to remain.
This was the first time one has been back in Wisconsin since the early 1900s. For more information on the incredible journey Kory took to bring one back to life, click on the 150Case.com link below
